I can’t help but sigh every time I sit across from Dr. Rosol.

He’s the doctor responsible for breaking up the ink particles in my knuckles as he lasers my tattoos off.

(If you’re wondering whether I regret my tattoos, think again. I’m simply making room for more.)

The session itself only lasts 5-10 minutes, but it feels like my knuckles are on fire for parts of it.

The most challenging part of the process, however, is what comes after:

Nearly zero visual difference.

In some cases, my knuckle tattoos are actually darker and more pronounced when I leave his office. If was less patient, and didn’t have realistic expectations of the process, I might not even go back.

But Dr. Rosol is wonderful, and made sure I knew exactly what to expect:

  • It’s impossible to predict how long a tattoo will take to laser off. Every person responds differently
  • Visual progress is NOT linear. There may be times where it takes 2-3 sessions to see even small changes
  • The only way to guarantee the complete removal of a tattoo is to keep showing up—even when it’s painful and doesn’t seem worth it

On the flip side, not continuing with the process because it’s uncomfortable, or seemingly taking a while, is the only surefire way to NOT get what I want.

If you think this has nothing to do with you, there’s a good chance you need to read those bullets again.

This time, with fat loss in mind.

Sam
